Jamaica sprint sensation Usain Bolt magnificently joined a handful of elite athletes who have won an Olympic sprint double when he completed the feat at the Beijing Games in world record style Wednesday night.

Bolt, the world record holder in the 100m booked his place in Olympic history when he added the 200m world record to his name with sensational 19.30 to break Michael Johnson's old mark of 19.32secs.

Bolt covered the field in the first 50m and then turned on the heat in the final 100m -- leaving all the celebrations for after the finish. Evidently Bolt never listen to the world of Johnson, who last week said the Jamaican world only run 19.50 at the Games, thus meaning he would not have erased the record.

However, Bolt stood tall and became the first man since Carl Lewis 24 years ago in Los Angeles to win an Olympic sprint double.

Dutch Antilles' sizzled to a national record of19.82secs to take gold while American defending champion Shawn Crawford took the bronze medal in 19.96.

World Championships bronze medallist Wallace Spearmon had finished third, but was later disqualified
