Bolts says he definitely wants to double in Beijing

World 100 metres record-holder Usain Bolt has again expressed his interest in doubling at the Olympic Games in Beijing next month.

Speaking to reporters on the eve of the two day Aviva London Grand Prix meeting, the lanky Jamaican acknowledged he is targetting the 100 and 200 Olympic gold medals, but understands that his coach knows best.

"I definitely want to double," Bolt said. "This is an Olympic year, and you have to take it seriously. But I don't know what I'll be doing - that's up to my coach."

After breaking compatriot Asafa Powell's World record of 9.74 seconds with his scorching run of 9.72 secs in New York on May 31 this year, Bolt announced that he would definitely go after the double in Beijing.

Almost two months later, however, the 21-year-old has now admitted to not knowing what the coach wants him to do, and he will just have to condition himself for anything.

"He hasn't given me a clue about when he'll decide," he said. "He wants to leave it until the latest possible time.

"I just have to get ready to do every event. He has made nothing but good decisions for me so far, so I won't start to question him now. What his criteria are for deciding, I don't know. I just do exactly what he says."

Bolt is scheduled to run the 200 in London and has promised something.

He will be pushed by World Championship 200 bronze medallist Wallace Spearmon of the United States, Marvin Anderson of Jamaica, and Jaysuma Saidy Ndure of Norway, who ran an impressive 19.89 secs at the IAAF World Athletics Final in Stuttgart, Germany, last year.

The Jamaican leads the World in the event after running 19.67 secs to break his own national record at a Greek meet two weeks ago.
