Arron improves to 11.06; Pittman runs seasonís best in Monaco

Guadeloupe-born French star Christine Arron continued her impressive comeback from injuries with a seasonís best of 11.06 to take the womenís 100m dash at the IAAF Herculis 2007 Super Grand Prix meeting in Monaco on Wednesday.

Jeter Carmelita Jeter of USA ran 11.11 for second, with MeíLisa Barber, the world indoor 60m champion taking third in 11.17. Jamaicaís Sherone Simpson failed to impress as she finished last in 11.75.

In the menís race, the improving Jamaican, Clement Campbell won the event in 10.17 seconds over American Wallace Spearmon, who also ran the same time.

World indoor champion Terrence Trammell came through the middle of the pack to win the menís 110m Hurdles in 13.19, while former world champion Jana Rawlinson of Australin took the womenís 400m Hurdles in a seasonís best of 53.46.

American former Olympic champion Angelo Taylor won the menís race over Kerron Clement in 48.45. Clement was a step behind in 48.47. Also on the track, top seed Kenenisa Bekele race solo to win the menís 3000m in 7:29.35.

In the womenís High Jump, Croatiaís in-form Blanka Vlasic defeated her Swedish World champion rival Kaisa Bergqvist with a clearance of 2.03m
