29 January 2006

One hundred metres world record holder Asafa Powell finished third over 400m in his first race in six months.

Powell, who has been out with a groin injury since June, ran 48.01 in his home town of Kingston, Jamaica.

Powell is expected to run at another local meet on 25 February before leaving for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia in March.
