How old were you when you started?

How old were you when you started track and field? Do you wish you started earlier, or do you think you started at the right age? They had a track and field team at my middle school, which began at 6th grade. Of course, the season only lasted about 3 months out of the year.

Started in my early youth, I was first playing football and we had training by the track and field course. So one day I went there and asked to try the disco, shot put, and javelin. And I did pretty good.

The coach asked me to come back for the next training session and I left football (oh soccer for you guys in US) and joined in the track and field team.

I started late, but I never got good enough. I played around for a while and I still train, but it is more for the fitness of it and to compete with the others at my work.

i tried baseball before T&F, but i sucked @ it so i gave T&F a try. now im addicted to it. haha im really motivated to do well this season.

I've started T&F 3 years ago (i was 17) , and what a start it was .. I won bronze medal in a strong regional 1500m race in my debut! ..

I've stopped for a season before I came back as a 400m/200m sprinter! simply because I'm too lazy to train a mid distance session .. and am so addicted to the sprints!

i started wen i was in 7th grade, but i was supposed to run the mile because i was the best in the school in it, but for some reason they put me in a 400 (i didn't even know wat it was). so i quit shortly after, then came bk in 10th grade to become a sprinter/long jumper/mid-distance runner...lol. crazy. i wish i had started a LOT earlier in life. i jumped 21 ft that same year (10th)
