HI EVERYONE!

I only fairly recently got back into running myself, and wondering what's the farthest you can run without needing a break. Personally, I can only go about 1-2 laps around my street(fairly long though), but i'm gradually working towards 3 laps. How about the rest of you?

With my heart, I can do about half a kilometre (1.6 km = 1 mile)...I'm not doing the math. Sorry.

I guess it depends how you define out of breath and how fast you're running. I've recently started trying to get back in shape though I can only run about a mile at a steady pace before I'm out of breath. Again, pushing myself hard I can run a couple of miles at a steady pace though my heart rate is through the roof by that time.

Ideally I'd like to be able to run a good 4 miles comfortably though I've got some way to go before I can do that.

It depends on how fast I am running. If you are talking about full speed, then I cannot run very far, before either slowing down or stopping. However, I can jog slowly for very long periods of time, and usually only have to stop when my feet start to ache, not because I am out of breath.

Well I am currently in cross country shape, so I am in very good respiratory shape right now. I can go a good 6 or 7 miles before I have to stop, but thats because of my legs tightening up, not becuase of my lungs giving out. Usually, in everything except a important race, I can go a comfortable speed for as long as I want, without breathing hard. I'm really impresses with how good of shape my coach has gotten me in, considering I concentrated on anaerobic stuff this summer (i.e. sprinting).

Right now im on a cross-country team, running 3-5 miles everyday... so i'd say about 5 miles is the farthest at a so-so pace. When im conditioning for track and feild, i have other sports that im training in between running, so im in fairly better shape. Sprinting, i could probally do around 500-600m.

I aint running more than two laps at any time. The longest race I ran seriously was 400m. I tried 800m serious once and just stopped at 600m. Although I raced 600m races before. I just thought why bother, although I could have done really well if I continued. Just lazy I guess.
