Knee Injuries?

So I've decided to get back to jumping again, but whenever I take off my 'Patellar Tendon' has a sharp pain 'under the kneecap'. I've gotten it check with physio, but what do you guys think the cause is?

Well, it is called patella tendonitis and it is common to jumpers of any sport. Triple jumping is no different. What you should do is order a McDavid, or Mueller's "jumper's knee" strap. i have used one on and off for about 2 years and it really gives you the support that you need. You don't feel the pain at all.

I have and use the strap as of right now, but I'd like to know what the cause of it is.. any ideas?
