I am a high school sprinter on my T&F team. I run the 100 & 200 mostly although I am working on my 400 times. I run the 100 in 12.1 and the 200 in 24.2 but I've just recovered from a pulled hamstring so I'm a bit rusty. I'm hoping to get my stats up by the end of the season. Since its only my sophomore year I'm not too worried but I'll be visiting colleges next year and I'd like to get a T&F scholarship eventually.

Welcome to the forum sprinter! I hope that the injury doesn't hold you back too much, how long were you out for? I wish you luck with the scholarship, they seem to be a little rare in these parts.

I was out alot longer than I wanted to be. :) I figure I'll be out of luck on a full scholarship unless I can get my stats back up next year. I've been super careful to not risk reinjury even if ts making me nuts. And in the meanwhile I worked on getting good grades to cover anything a T&F scholarship won't cover.

You most likely can't even run DIII with those times, so good luck getting a scholarship. Most colleges only have 3-5 scholarships to give out, so they will usually split them up between many people, so they want people that they know will run well. To even be considered for one you should be running 10.x, 22.3, 48.9

I was running in the low 23's as a sophomore and I only got 1 offer, but I wish you the best of luck.

Its still not to late to get your scholarship. Some folks dont get offers until you get to your senior yr. Just work hard and stay focused. Run in all the summer meets you can, so you can run against different/competitive runners.

If you run the times you will get noticed.
