Scholarships for T&F?

Are there scholarships for T&F for most colleges that have a team? I know some of them do as I've seen recruiters just like they send for football, but does every school with a team have some scholarship money for recruiting?

Yes, colleges do award scholarships in track and field, but not as many as they do in football, for example, the University of Miami can give about 30 football scholarships, but only 2 or 3 track scholarships. For LSU, it may be differnet though because they are traditionally a great track and football program, so I don't knowabout how many scholarships they would grant in track.

No, not every school with a team will have scholarships. It all depends on what benefactors set up and what they wanted, and what other funding is available. Of course there aren't many T&F scholarships over here at all, so you have the advantage!

about 2% of all scholarships are athletic ones, i dno how much of that 2% is for track and field, but if you are breaking school records, coming first in state meets, qualifying for nationals, then you have a good chance of getting one

I was just looking for information about scholarships for track and field the other day. With so much economic trouble and less loans being available, especially from private lenders its more important than ever to hope for a scholarship. It does seem like only the top percentage have a chance at a very few in the nation.

Most schools can give out track scholarschips...Division 1, and Division 2 can give out scholarships but division three can not. Only top division 1 schools give out alot of scholarships. Though its alot harder to get recruited by a division 1 school, it is possible. There is also NAIA which similar to division three, but they can give out scholarships, not full rides, but at least partial
