It's that time of year again when my eyes are starting to itch and I can't see where I am going :D

I have used many meds in the past and had unwanted side effects such as grogginess. Is there anything proven to work for you without slowing you down?

There are so many allergy medications that are non-drowsy why are you still taking the regular ones? ;)

You need to be taking allergy meds with loratadine, not diphenhydramine Hcl (benadryl). While both work well, the meds in regular Benadryl are the same thing added to Tylenol PM or Excedrin Pm to make you sleep. Most major allergy meds including Claratin, Alavert, etc have non-drowsy formulas.

I am cheap. I fully admit that-and so I buy cheap. But right now I would rather try something like an anti-histamine eyedrops that would only treat the one thing rather than a systemic med. Anyone try a good one?

Yes I do what you are describing. I use eye drops for the itchy eyes and a nasal spray for the sneezing. It's a steroid based one-beclomethasone or something like that-green topped one on prescription. Works wonders and I feel great-totally clears up my symptoms and no side effects for me.

I don't see how using eye drops is going to keep you from having the other issues. I also don't use anything steroid based, let alone nasal sprays. Talk about side effects. That one has been linked with an inability to taste things. Who wants to not sneze but not be able to taste their food?
