Do the spectators to an event or competition help you to perform better than you would do otherwise? When do you generally score your PRs-at training meetings or in competition and is it the other competitors that drive you harder, drive you to succeed, or is it having people watching you?

you mostly only pr when there is some one fast in your race that will push you really hard ..

I normally get more psyched by competitors than people watching me. People that aren't competing to witness my (perceived) greatness is like icing on the cake. I am more likely to try harder because someone who is supposed to be really good is competing against me and I want to see if I can come close.

Nice PR. I agree that I pretty much only excel when there is someone pushing me, but you know for the field events you don't have that motivation. When it comes to field then yes, knowing that maybe I have family watching me spurs me to give it that little bit more than I can manage in training.
