I play football, but i also do track. About 4 months before track season started i began training to get faster. Just as i feel that im getting faster, i get slow again. It happened when i returned from the weekend and my legs were just moving a lot slower. I thought maybe it was because i didnt get enough rest, but i rested and trained and it seemed like i was making no progress. Track has started and i had planned to do the 200m, but i couldn't keep up with some of the faster sprinters. All my training was for nothing. I just dont know what to do anymore. whats my problem? what training should i have used? Did i not train hard enough? What can i do to fix this? what body parts should i strengthen?

eating is part of training so think about what your putting into your body as well as how ur training it. the 200m is a hard race for athletes who are not fit, like states said do some core stuff n if tha dont work maybe ur just not fit

You might also need to focus on some cardio type exercises to make sure that your muscles are able to get the oxygen that they need to use during the race. So both sprinting and long distance during training may be called for.

I agree. Last year, i knew i was fast, but i felt awful and didn't run as fast. I eat better now and my body uses the nutrients to build my strength.
