I wanted to ask your opinion about another mith... iīve heard that people should get a shower a little time after doing excercise or sweating instead of wainting untill sweat dryes by itself... is that true?

Where can i find an easy schedule of trainning for 100/200/400 mts?
iīve tried to find some information where i can easily understand what to do day by day, step by step.. at least weekly. Can anyone help me on this one?

Thanks!.. itīs great!... but i donīt understand one thing:

1. Warm‑up: 1 mile cross country run

2. Flexibility exercises

3. 2 x 600 Speed 60 sec. 400/ rest 15 minutes

4. 3 x 300 Speed 50 sec./rest 1 minute

5. 3 x 300 Speed 40 sec./rest 5 minutes

6. Cool down: 1 mile cross country run

7. Weights

What does "speed 60 sec. 400" means???

No idea, it's probably a miss type, but I'm assuming he meant to say for fast for 60 secs/ or 400 meters, whichever comes first

I follow a routine similar to this. Except I run 40's in the middle. It is a good one, I definitaly reccommend the warm up of a mile. It seems excessive to some but it really helps with stretching and endurance.

Back to the OP here, I am confused as to what you were asking about the myth. I shower if I work out because I am sweaty and I don't want to stink. I have never heard anyone suggest that I should not shower, or let it dry or whatever, that just sounds a little odd.

Allowing sweat to dry on your skin can easily lead to sweat, dirt, and dead skin clogging your pores and drying out your skin. I don't know why you would purposely wait to shower until the sweat dried. Maybe not jumping in the shower immediately (you do need to cool down a bit) but surely soon after working out.

Even the cooling down-well you should do that as a matter of your routine. By the time you are contemplating a shower you should already have reached that stage, and if you fear the shower a little, run it hot!

What is this referring too? You need to explain yourself more.

I believe they were explaining post three in this thread. Stating that for the 400m, you should take 15 second per hundred, with your coach blowing the whistle on the 15s to help you stick to the times, and hence help you make the 400 in 60s.

The same principle would then follow for the others.
