Powell vs Gay in the 100 meter

It was amazing to see how Gay caught Powell in and was able to win. Powell had a clear lead and I thought that he could pull it through. I was surprised that Gay could take the lead from him, and that Powell gave up on the last meters. It cost him the silver medal that is for sure....

It was quite an interesting show, Powell got a very good start and had the sprint it seemed until about 30 - 40 meters, when Gay had gotten his speed up. I can not understand how Powell wasnt able to increase his speed as good, or even keep it.

Yes Powell let the silver go in the last 20 odd meters, when he saw that there that the gold had gone.
